Mechanism of Action of Bulaquine
The mechanism of action of Bulaquine is not known. Primaquine damage the; the power house of parasite i.e. mitochondria. Without energy the parasite cannot live. In addition to this Bulaquine inhibits protein synthesis and indirectly inhibits polymerization of amino acids by the plasmodia.

Absorption: It is well absorbed after oral administration. Distribution: It is widely distributed in the body. Metabolism: It undergoes partial metabolism to form Primaquine. Excretion: The unchanged drug is excreted through urine.
