A partial beta-adrenergic agonist,Phenethylamine derivative, Coronary vasodilator,cardiotonic,antianginal.
Mechanism of Action of Oxyfedrine
The drug improves myocardial metabolism; so that heart can sustain hypoxia better. It has adrenergic effect on heart improving contractility and A-V conduction. It reduces vascular resistance.

Typical Dosage for Oxyfedrine
Oral: 24mg 8th hourly
I.V.: 4mg 1-3 times daily of infusion 0.1 to 0.3mg/kg/day.
Maintenance: 8 to16mg 8th hourly orally

Store at room temperature at a range of 15 to 30 degree C. Protect from direct heat and light. Keep out of reach of children.
Effects of Missed Dosage of Oxyfedrine
Take the missed dose as soon as noticed and if it is the time for next dose then skip the missed dose. Continue the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
