A norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (NRI), Morpholine derivative, Antidepressant.
Mechanism of Action of Reboxetine
Reboxetine blocks the re-uptake of neurotransmitter Noradrenaline from the synapse in to the presynaptic nerve terminal in the CNS. This will prolong the action of Noradrenaline and lighten the mood.

Absorption: Reboxetine is well absorbed after oral administration. Distribution: It is distributed in the body in protein bound form. Metabolism: It undergoes metabolism in the liver. Excretion: Drug is excreted mainly through urine.

Interactions for Reboxetine
Anti-arrhythmics: Use with caution.
Anti-bacterials: Avoid use with macrolides and linezolid.
Other anti-depressants: Risk of increased toxicity with MAOIs.
Antifungals: Caution advised in use with imidazole and triazole.
Antimalarials: Avoid concomitant use with artemether.
Diuretics: Possible increased risk of hypokalaemia in concomitamt use with loop diuretics or thiazides.
Ergotamine: Possible increased blood pressure.
Sibutramine: Increased risk of CNS toxicity; avoid concomitant use.
Typical Dosage for Reboxetine
Adult
Depression:
Initial dose: 8mg / day in 2 divided doses; dose can be increased to 10 mg after 3 - 4 week if sufficient response does not occur.
Maximum dose: 12 mg / day

Store at 15 - 30 degree C. Keep out of the reach of children. Protect from direct light and heat.
Effects of Missed Dosage of Reboxetine
Take the missed dose as soon as noticed and if it is the time for next dose then skip the missed dose. Continue the regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Give supportive measures and symptomatic treatment.
